He first experienced life in the United States when he accepted a golf scholarship to attend Walter State Community College in Morristown, TN. Scott then began his career in the industry as Assistant Golf Professional at his home club, Gullane Golf Club, where he spent three valuable years learning the profession and developing a strong passion and respect for the game. Scott went on to further his career as Golf Professional at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, an international resort in the Middle East rated the number two course in Africa and Asia by Golf Magazine.

Derek Swoboda's passion for the game of golf began as a young junior golfer at Northbrook Country Club in Northeast Wisconsin. Derek has spent immeasurable hours studying the game of golf and the countless swings the game contains. Through his years at Hamilton Farm Golf Club, he was able to spend over 300 hours studying under his mentor and 2016 PGA National Teacher of the Year, Mike Adams. During his winter months at Old Palm Golf Club, Derek studied the swing under another Top 100 Instructor, Mark Hackett. Derek looks forward to helping Members and guests take their game to the next level for years to come.

Dave Vihlen
PGA Teaching Professional

I am a true Florida Native. I played two years at Miami Dade and two years at Florida International with a golf scholarship. I qualified and played in the 1976 U.S. Amateur. I turned pro in 1979, while teaching at Homestead Air Force Base; I taught an officer how to play that had been blinded from a bomb blast... I learned a lot from that experience. My belief about the golf swing is to make the larger muscles lead the smaller ones. Small muscles should react, not dictate. I love the game and my goal is to make the game more enjoyable at all levels of play.

Jennifer Hudson
PGA Class A & LPGA T&CP Teaching Professional

Jennifer began teaching at Ocean Reef Club in November 2016 after serving as Head Golf Professional at Spring Creek Ranch in Collierville TN, a Top 200 Golf Digest Private Club. Jennifer is also the Director of Instruction at Sankaty Head Golf Club, a Top 100 Classic Course located on Nantucket Island (2017-present).

Jennifer's passion is to help her students become better players. This means helping each student to achieve a functionally effective swing based on their unique bio-swing dynamics. It also means helping her students play better on the course through performance coaching focused on course management as well as improving mental and emotional skill sets.

Two of Jennifer's biggest influencers and mentors include Vision54 founders Lynn Marriott and Pia Nilson. She has also understudied 2016 PGA Teacher of the Year Mike Adams and most winning Professional Golfer ever, Kathy Whitworth.

Jennifer's game improvement programs have helped countless women, juniors and men enjoy golf more while seeing their scores drop. She coaches players of all levels from beginners to the elite club player to touring professionals. Notable students include tour winners Alena Sharp (active LPGA Tour player) and Christine Meier (active Symetra Tour player).

Originally from New Paltz, New York, Jennifer grew up playing competitive golf. She graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN in 2006 with a BA in International Relations. She was named to All-American SCAC Conference honors 2004-2006, and served as a Captain of her team 2004-2006. She competed in two NCAA Division III championships as an individual. After graduation, Jennifer competed on mini-tours before pursuing her PGA and LPGA T&CP certifications. She continues to enjoy playing in professional events under both the PGA and LPGA umbrella.
