Back to School at Ocean Reef: Academy Welcomes Students to Campus

The Academy at Ocean Reef is ready to open on September 7th for on-campus classes for all students. All faculty, parents and children will continue to follow and promote the Covid Safety Plan that was implemented and followed last school year. The Academy community is looking forward to the excitement of beginning the 2021-2022 year together and really cannot wait to reunite.

Prep Work is Done Jerome Murphy, Head of School, and Academy teachers have been busily preparing for new programs and enhanced materials along with professional development during the summer. All 6th to 8th graders will be utilizing new Chromebooks, a supplemental reading program has been added to the curriculum, and classroom Smartboards are in the process of being upgraded. The enormously successful Toddler program for children aged 2-3 is continuing with ten new toddlers entering The Academy this year.

Winning Sports Program Shortly after the students are welcomed back to The Academy, the after school sports program will be provided for children ages 5 and older. This valuable part of the school day includes pickleball, tennis, golf, sailing, and fitness training. One of the most incredible programs at The Academy is the opportunity for students at such a young age to participate in these Ocean Reef Club sports and activities.

So off to a new school year for all Academy families! How great it would be to be a kid again….especially at Ocean Reef.
