Culinary Magic
By Jody Steele
The Food & Beverage Team has been resourceful in assembling dining opportunities for the upcoming Season. Challenges of ongoing construction and attention to COVID restrictions have led to the creation of some imaginative solutions. It is all quite exciting and will present some new and established ways we can all enjoy dining at The Reef.
Dennis Courtney, Director of Outlets, recently shared an overview of what Members can look forward to in the months ahead.
Breakfast Anyone?
Gianni will serve your favorite omelet along with a stunning view until The Ocean Room opens for business. For more casual fare, grab a muffin or an egg sandwich and a special coffee at Reef Treats before your golf game.
Do NOT Skip Lunch…
Head to Buccaneer with a stop at the Beach Grill after doing laps in the pool or sit under an umbrella for an elegant lunch at Palm Court. The Raw Bar has expanded with more seating under an outdoor Tiki hut and dock space dining. Toski’s at the Turn has an additional food trailer with an enhanced menu. The Fitness Café is an option after a good work out and our famous Food Truck will be located at The Field at Four Corners. Reef Hut has more space inside and out with a beautiful redo and a large awning to add to the ambience. That is seven places to do lunch—a different choice for every day of the week.
Dinner is Served
The Islander, Gianni Ristorante, Burgee Bar, Raw Bar, and Reef Hut are open for your dining pleasure. Palm Court will be an additional al fresco setting with a Mediterranean menu under the stars-certainly to become a destination. Pop up dinners at Carysfort with an assortment of themes served family style are also a new venue. The Saturday Seafood Extravaganza will be presented at Carysfort and will be served family style with those awesome Seafood Towers featured. So lots of choices to ponder. The team is not done with their creative thinking yet… Town Hall Waterside, featuring an array of offerings during peak weekends and holidays, will have a large open air tent and plenty of added ambience.
Staying Home?
Reef Eats—previously known as Private Dining has an appealing twist. All your favorite meals from the Melanie Roll to the Bison Burger will be available for order online or by phone and then delivered to your home. This upgraded service will please the most discerning diner that wants to relax at home.
So looking ahead, the quality, the variety, the safety, and the priorities for dining are plentiful and impressive. More good memories will be created as families and friends celebrate with appropriate social distancing while dining this Season thanks to the ingenuity of the F & B team.
Stay tuned for more details on the new concepts, hours of operation and menus in upcoming editions of the
Ocean Reef Press.
