Mayacamas Vineyards is perched atop the rugged and beautiful Mount Veeder, Napa Valley. One of Napa’s most celebrated and historic estates, Mayacamas’ stone winery was constructed in 1889 and is still in use today. Mayacamas is known for its age-worthy, traditional and classically styled wines. The vineyard, which encompasses 53 acres and is located 1800 to 2400 feet above sea level in the crater of an extinct volcano, cultivates Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and small blocks of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The vineyard’s traditional methods of simplicity are reflected in the purity of their wines. They recognize the essence of their terroir, using it in a way that allows it to be fully expressed in the wine.
