PROPOSED FOR MEMBERSHIP – August 13 through August 27, 2026
Equity Membership
Mrs. Natalia and Mr. Donald Gustafson are applying for Bi-County Equity membership waitlist. The Gustafson family are Sr. Legacy members and are from Pinecrest, FL where they raise their son. They enjoy a multitude of activities the Club has to offer, including fishing, golf, and boating, along with family time. They are being Proposed by Equity members, Maria and Carlos Enriquez, friends of over 16 years. Their Seconders are Equity members Margaret and Robert Lopez friends of over 18 years. Their letter writers are Kristi and Keith Davidson, Carol and Ed Williamson, Marge and Wicho Hernandez, Beatriz and Ricardo Gutierrez & Michelle Lopez. They were interviewed by Henry Salas on behalf of the Membership Committee.

Equity Membership
Mrs. Jill and Mr. Dan Freshley have applied for Equity membership. The Freshley family is generationally tied to Ocean Reef Club, through his parents. They are from Terrace Park, OH where they raised two children. They are looking forward to enjoying the multitude of activities the Club has to offer, including boating, pickleball, and tennis, along with family time. They are being Proposed by Equity members, Ronald and Shirley Freshley. Their Seconders are Equity members Pam and John Gibson, close friends of over 35 years. Their letter writers are Melanie and Doug Hynden, Ann and Jeff Gibson, Donna and Karl Grafe, Lynnette and David Wyler, Cheryl and Richard Owsley. They were interviewed by Keith Bozeman on behalf of the Membership Committee. Mrs. & Mr. Freshley are acquiring 44 Harbour House and the Equity certificate from Federico Fernandez.
Mrs. Elizabeth and Mr. Sam Lawfer have applied for Equity membership. The Lawfer family is generationally tied to Ocean Reef Club through her grandparents, Helen and Marty Stein, who were members for almost 40 years. They are from Elizabeth, ME, where they are raising two sons. They are looking forward to enjoying the multitude of activities the Club has to offer, including golf, fishing, and tennis, along with family time. They are being Proposed by Equity members Sharon and David Halpryn, neighbors of six years. Their Seconder is Equity member Gail Freed, a friend of over five years. Their letter writers are Edwina Freedman, Dottie and John Betz, Robert Broton, Sarina Kinney, and Grettyl Benisch. They were interviewed by Thomas Yates on behalf of the Membership Committee. Mrs. & Mr. Lawfer are inheriting 23 Harbour Green Dr. and the Equity certificate from the estate of Helen Stein along with Mr. Jonathan Stepakoff.
Mr. Jonathan Stepakoff has applied for Non-Charter Dues Only membership. Mr.Stepakoff is generationally tied to Ocean Reef Club through his grandparents, Helen and Marty Stein, who have been members for almost 40 years. He is from Arlington, VA, where he works as a Business Manager for Mission Lane. He is looking forward to enjoying the multitude of activities the Club has to offer, including hosting social events, joining Club meetings, and participating in wine tastings. He is being Proposed by Equity member Edwina Freedman, a friend of over five years. His Seconders are Equity members Dottie and John Betz, friends of over five years. His letter writers are Sharon and David Halpryn, Gail Freed, Robert Broton, Sarina Kinney, and Grettyl Benisch. He was interviewed by Jennie Massey on behalf of the Membership Committee.
