PROPOSED FOR MEMBERSHIP – October 29^th – November 12^th

Equity Membership

Mrs. Ashlyn and Mr. John Whitford have applied for Equity Membership. The Whitford family is from Raleigh, North Carolina, where they raise their three children. Mr. and Mrs. Whitford are actively involved in the leadership of Consolidated Distribution Corp. as President and Vice President. They look forward to thoroughly enjoying the many activities and experiences the Club has to offer, including fishing, hosting social events, golf, and spending quality time with family. They are being Proposed by Equity members Anne and George Barnes, who have known them for more than 38 years in both business and social settings. Their Seconders are Equity members Leigh and Robert Edwards, friends of more than 40 years. Their letter writers are Hannah and Hamilton Sloan, Martha and John Peterson, Katherine and Joe Cannon, Sandy and Vann Pair, and Katherine and Jim Bailey. They were interviewed by Mike Acheson on behalf of the Membership Committee. The Whitfords are in the final stages of identifying the property they will purchase.

Mrs. Brynne and Mr. Robert Peck have applied for Equity Membership. The Peck family is new to Ocean Reef Club and are from Naples, Florida, where they raised their three sons. Mrs. Peck enjoys supporting her husband and his business endeavors, which allows them to travel together while also ensuring she remains actively involved in their children’s lives. Family is at the heart of Bob and Brynne’s life. Mr. Peck holds the title as president of Triton Insurance. They look forward to taking advantage of the many activities and experiences the Club has to offer, including boating, pickleball, hosting social events, participating in art shows, classes and workshops as well as spending quality time with family. They are being proposed by Equity members Jane and David Nolan, friends of more than 26 years. Their seconders are Equity members Lisa and Stan Moss, friends of more than 5 years. Their letter writers are, Lydia and Ron Harrington, Faye and Drew Evans, Susan and Tom Friel, Thomas and Alexandra Ripley, and Debbie and Tim Rennes. They were interviewed by Keith Bozeman on behalf of the Membership Committee and are acquiring 5 S. Marina Dr. Unit 5 from the Estate of Elizabeth Gordy and the Equity certificate from the resale list.
