30,000th Can of “The Point” Served

Poised on The Reef’s own little peninsula with Atlantic waters on three sides is a place fondly known as The Point. It is a sanctuary for members to gather, to strengthen the bonds of friendship, to appreciate the bounty of nature, and to welcome returning anglers home again. To remind you of all the memories and moments here, we have crafted “The Point Session Ale “exclusively to embody all that we treasure about this very special place.
Less than two years ago, your Food & Beverage Team launched “The Point Session Ale”, a craft beer made exclusively for Ocean Reef Club. Partnering with Tampa Bay Brewing Company (who continues adding medals to their collection from the Great American Beer Fest), we ensured this beer boasted excellent quality, consistency and exclusivity.
Since its launch in November 2017, more than 30,000 cans of “The Point Session Ale” have been consumed. Members enjoy this poolside, on the golf course, or boating and have made it synonymous with the Club and Keys lifestyle.
Members have found this hoppy American wheat ale to be very approachable in style. It is aromatic with tropical fruits, such as passion fruit and apricot, on the nose and mild tropical fruits and mango on the palate. This beer finishes dry and crisp and is intended for enjoyment in the warm weather of the Keys. The collaboration with Tampa Bay Brewing Company, one of the first breweries in Florida, has allowed us to offer of the finest, and indeed most exclusive beers available in the state.
The 30,000th can the Club received was marked and then sent to the Raw Bar. This milestone was ordered by Courtney Parmenter and Juan Rionda. To their surprise, Raw Bar’s Billy Ronk presented them a supply of “The Point Session Ale” and a gift card to dine in a restaurant of their choice.
