Offered every week of the summer, campers will experience a uniquely themed week of fun created by the Recreation Team’s Activity Coordinators. Campers will join the Coordinators in themed arts and crafts, activities, and games coinciding with the week’s theme. Campers will get to explore Ocean Reef Club by visiting areas such as Buccaneer Island, Nature Center, mini golf, soccer field, and our two beautiful new playgrounds.

Sailing Camp
It’s time for high tides and good vibes! Sailors will live the dream while on island time this week. Whether brushing up on techniques or learning the fundamentals, sailing campers will focus on mastering skills with the help of Ocean Reef’s seasoned sailing instructors. Each week of camp utilizes three different sailing vessels, culminating with a thrilling regatta full of cheering friends and families as spectators.

Scuba Dive Camp
Now is your chance to become a certified PADI Junior Open Water Diver in our only camp that offers scuba diving! Experienced instructors from The Dive Shop will teach students all the skills to get up close and personal with our world-famous coral reefs and their inhabitants. Certified divers can return to earn their Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

Field & Fitness Camp NEW!
This new offering gets campers excited about trying new sports, exercises, activities, and challenges, while promoting teamwork and good sportsmanship. Each day we will play a variety of activities such as basketball, soccer, beach volleyball, capture the flag, relay races and many, many more! Campers will utilize Ocean Reef Club areas such as mini golf, Buccaneer Island, the Croquet Lawn, and the Field at Four Corners to get active and learn new skills. This camp is surely going to work up a sweat!

Reef Discovery
Come explore the true beauty that is the Florida Keys. Reef Discovery Camp offers participants daily off-property excursions to some of the most popular recreational activities in the area. Campers can plan to parasail, wakeboard, snorkel, explore John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, attempt to beat an Escape Room, and jet around on an airboat at the Everglades Alligator Farm. Should Mother Nature hinder any travel plans, have no fear! We have alternative options such as bowling, going to a movie, and visiting Shell World.

Marine Lab
Become a Marine Biologist for the week! Marine scientists at MarineLab in Key Largo will introduce campers to the local marine ecosystem from the seagrass beds out to the coral reef. Students will get hands-on experience collecting water samples, learning fish identification, and taking field observations to be used in the lab. Part of the week will be spent at MarineLab’s education center in Key Largo, including several snorkeling excursions to come face-to-face with all kinds of marine life.

Chef for a Week
Calling all aspiring chefs! Join ORC’s talented culinary professionals as they share their skills and favorite recipes from The Reef. Nature Exploration
Campers will kayak through the mangroves and learn about the local eco system and take off-property educational excursions to Everglades National Park, Zoo Miami, Everglades Alligator Farm and more. Eco-Reef Camp NEW!
In this camp, students will be immersed in marine conservation field education. Divers and snorkelers will learn the most common conservation practices used throughout the Florida Keys, the importance of coral restoration, and will see firsthand the coral nurseries dedicated to raising young corals in hopes of returning them to the reef.

Advanced Chef for a Week
Time to turn up the heat! Taking the popular ‘Chef for a Week’ program to the next level, tween chefs with a culinary calling are sure to cook up a storm in this camp. With the assistance of culinary experts in the Carysfort Kitchen, chefs will sharpen their skills, from recipe preparation and knife safety to dish presentation. In an accumulation of recipes, cooking techniques and variety of food to choose from, chefs will put their skills to the test in an Ocean Reef Club spin of “Iron Chef”!

Equestrian Camp
Always an off-property favorite, this camp is sure to get you riding in no time! From beginning to advanced level riders, spend a week at the stables as campers are taught the proper instruction, handling and care of horses. During the week, campers will have the chance to ride each day and take part in equestrian-based games! All teaching staff on site have years of experience in the equine field and teaching all skills levels. Recreation Staff will provide transportation to and from stables and supervision throughout the day, including lunch.
