Aaron Barnett, originally from Spring Hill, KS, began working at Ocean Reef in May 2018 as the Hammock Course First Assistant Superintendent. He was quickly promoted to Dolphin Course First Assistant Superintendent in November of that year and now holds the title of Hammock Course Superintendent.

Prior to joining Ocean Reef, Aaron graduated from Keiser University in 2016 with a degree in Golf Management and began working at Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton. In mid-2017, he pursued an Assistant-in-Training position at Boynton Beach’s Pine Tree Golf Club where he learned and trained under “celebrity superintendent” and integral member of the Florida Golf Course Superintendents Association, Steve Wright.

Aaron grew up playing sports and was even a college football player. He is also a Marine Corps veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Aaron has a love for the game of golf – whether it be playing, watching or talking about it – as well as a love for maintaining golf courses. His life experiences have helped shape his superb qualities of leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to ensuring the job gets completed.
