From: A born and raised Floridian, Amy grew up in Tampa and now relishes living in her family’s annual vacation destination, the Florida Keys.
Service Specialty & Certifications: Amy specializes in injury prevention, post-rehab, performance enhancement, lean muscle gain, as well as body fat loss. She utilizes her B.S. in Biology & Health Sciences to create a holistic approach to weight loss and weight management. She is proud of her clients whom have lost a combined 500 lbs. in the last 10 months. Amy is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer as well as a self-defense and cycling instructor. She began her specialty certifications in Natural Holistic Remedies 2+ years, American Red Cross Lifeguarding and Swim Instructor 12+ years, CPR/AED/BLS 13+ years, and LightStim Recovery 1+ years.
Experience: Amy has been working in the health and fitness field for over 12 years. Starting in a clinic setting, Amy worked 1,000+ hours under CNA training in-home care with special emphasis on musculoskeletal dysfunction, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s care. Molding her own sport background with her passion for health, she transferred this experience to assist with physical therapy. She has accrued over 6,000 hours of treatment and programming for sport-related and orthopedic injuries. Which include paralysis and stroke recovery, as well as balance and mobility disorders for people of every age and background.
My Philosophy: I focus on quality over quantity. I want my clients to feel empowered so they can break through all of their barriers. I think it is so important to have fun with functional movement. As a fitness trainer I want to share my enthusiasm, and encourage a happier lifestyle. As well as help you realize what your body is capable of through simplicity and consistency. With the goal of integrating exercise and optimal wellness into the demands of daily life.
